Magdalena Kozielska

Biosketch

I am responsible for the “Evolution of learning” project that aims at determining how the mechanisms underlying information processing and learning are shaped by evolution and how learning mechanisms affect individual and population performance in a changing environment.

My other tasks include the coordination of the research activities within the MARM group and, in particular, the coordination of programming activities, to assure consistent and comparable output across subprojects.

I obtained my PhD in 2003 at the University of Groningen for my work on the evolution of sex determining mechanisms. Afterwards I did research on mechanistic modelling of treatment effects in schizophrenia. Following couple of years I was a lecturer at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen. I started working on the current project in the MARM group in March 2019.
